The good old view, reimagined.

You have already seen this view twice. Here and here. Well, this time it’s different. Not only because it’s black-and-white.

Just look at the damn clouds!

You can get those scenic, fluffy, grayish clouds floating through the sky any given day; but you cannot get that mighty army of clouds amassed together, moving with some incredible slowness above your head. That’s when the polarizer comes in. Yeah, it’s mostly used for getting deeper, more vivid colors on the sky – but it’s also excellent for having more distinctive clouds.

Making the sky occupy two-thirds of the image just further emphasizes the majesty of the clouds vs. the relative stillness of the lake and the hills on the other side.
